OUR PHILOSOPHY
St. Andrew’s Nursery School admits students of any race, color, nationality,
and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the
school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, and ethnic origins in administration of its educational
policy, admissions policy, or other school administered programs.
St. Andrew's Nursery School has been lovingly teaching the children
of our community since 1954.
We seek to encourage each child:
A typical day includes:
A typical week includes:
A CHILD’S FIRST INTRODUCTION to school can be frightening. Care will be taken to provide an atmosphere of love and security in the classroom while still allowing freedom for the self-development of each child. This is a big step on the way to independence.
GUIDANCE is given for every child to be an individual. Particular concern is shown for the child with special needs. Parents will be notified if undue problems should arise in the classroom. Suggestions for professional help will be given if deemed necessary. Parent/Teacher Conferences are held in January, February, and March.
BECAUSE EACH CHILD develops at his or her own rate, it is important not to compare your child’s work with that of others. We are more concerned with the process than the product.
OUR
GOAL is to give the children the opportunity to grow and mature at their own level while working, playing, and sharing in group situations. WITH YOUR HELP, we can offer a program designed to meet the needs of each child that will promote growth: SOCIALLY, EMOTIONALLY,
PHYSICALLY, and INTELLECTUALLY, in an atmosphere of love, acceptance, and support.
