On Sunday, April 20, we honored our church musicians, including the members of the English Handbell Choir, Chancel Choir,
Praise Band, and Children’s Ring & Sing Choir. Also recognized that day were all cantors, guest soloists, substitute organists,
instrumentalists, and of course, Aletha “Cookie” Fassl, St. Andrew’s Director of Music. Thank you to all for sharing your time
and talents with our congregation!
On Sunday, April 20, we celebrated the baptism of Aidan Michael Allen. Aidan is
the son of Lisa and Jason Allen.
We mourned the deaths of:
Marion Hinkle, mother of Rene Boylan and Cindy Frantz, on March 25;
and Marie Volkert on April 11.
St. Andrew’s is proud of . . .
Andrew Semanick, who has been diligently working on many projects
around the church and Hope House, including the restroom renovations, Hope House railings and painting. Andrew is in the process
of earning his Eagle Scout Rank from the Boy Scouts of America.

Second Sunday/ Second Offering
The Second Sunday / Second Offering, which will be collected on Sunday, May 11, will
benefit Thrivent Builds/Habitat for Humanity. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Habitat for Humanity team up for Habitat
Blitz Weeks, beginning on June 23, through July 2. A new home is being built by Habitat in Bethlehem. Lutherans from all
over the Lehigh Valley will come together to help. The Second Sunday Offering will be used to help a family in need realize their
dream of home ownership.
Lexie’s Dream names new Chair:
Ellen Olsen, has been named Chair of Lexie’s Dream Board. Lexie’s
Dream is an apartment complex where adults with severe disabilities live independently in a community. Founder, Alexis Gurinko,
is a long-time member of St. Andrew’s.
Miller-Keystone Blood Center/February 10 Blood Drive Update:
Goal: 30 donors
Successful Donors: 29 donors

drives will be held throughout the year, so watch upcoming newsletters for details.
Pentecost Flowers
Pentecost flowers are available. Geraniums may be purchased in celebration of Pentecost on Sunday, May 11.
