Council Highlights

At the April Council meeting, President Guy Ehler reported that no one attended the Council Meet and Greet on Sunday, April 13. An additional Meet & Greet has been scheduled for Sunday, June 22, following the 9:00am worship service.

Treasurer Sam Moretti reported that for the first quarter (January through March which included Easter) our income was $63,421, while total expenses were $64,080, a deficit of $659.

Sam Moretti also reported that Cindy Holland is the head of the Audit Committee and the audit should be completed by the end of April.

Growth and Outreach Chair, Pat Zimmerman, asked permission to compile a directory of products and services of our members. Further information will be gathered on the proposal and presented at the May Council meeting.

The Synod Bishop Transition Team is creating a memory book to present to Bishop David Strobel at a reception on May 30. Anyone is welcome to send a message of thanks and congratulations. Please contact Pastor Denton Kees through the synod office.

The Council approved Property Committee Chair, Ed Schaeffer’s, proposal of installation of three sets of exterior doors for the church building at a cost of up to $19,000.00 using the Pershing Jones Memorial Fund.

Rob Reese and Rick Bold will secure proposals for improving the sound system.

Chris Lynn reported that the Blitz Weeks for the Habitat for Humanity house has been changed to June 23 to July 2. Thrivent Build days are June 23 & 26, and July 1.

The Council directed that all confirmed youth should receive offering envelopes.
