St. Andrew’s Women (SAW)
Wednesday, March 10, 10AM
Program: Dr. Joe Fassl
Devotions: Judy Everett
Hostesses: April Shaheen, Gwen Krapf,
&
Irmie Bray
Business: Tea and Rummage Sale Planning
SAW is open to all women—members and friends of St.
Andrew’s on a come as you can
basis. SAW meets the
second Wednesday of the month throughout the
program year. Lunch is provided.
It’s never too early to start preparing
for the
Annual Rummage Sale. As you clean out your
closets and garages, set aside items to bring
the week before the Rummage Sale in
June.
This year we will not be accepting exercise
equipment, computer equipment, and
luggage. These items do not sell and are
difficult
to dispose of after the sale.
We’ll take your jewelry now—so go ahead and
clean out your jewelry boxes and place your
donations in the
basket located in the narthex.
We thank you for your cooperation and
continued contributions!

Altar Giving Basket Alternatives
We are in a new year and our economy is still in
recovery. The food pantry has seen an
increase
in the families needing help. The shelves were
filled by people’s generosity over the holiday
season, but the supply is now
dwindling. We
would like to suggest that perhaps a couple of
families or friends could share the cost of an Altar
Basket, “in memory
of,” “in honor of,” or to the
glory of God. The people at ProJeCt tell us what
food to purchase. The cost of a basket is $28.00.
Checks
can be made payable to St. Andrew’s,
with “food basket” in the memo line. It can be
sent to the office or put in the offering plate
prior
to the date of your basket request. The sign-up
sheet is on the bulletin board in the narthex.
In addition, or instead of, ProJeCt
is accepting
“gift cards” from Giant Food stores. These gift
cards can be in any amount. They are used to
purchase fresh produce. Your
gift card can be
given to Fay or Jim Slater and it will be delivered
to ProJeCt. We want to thank all of you for your
support of this
ministry.
