St. Andrew's Nursery School has been lovingly teaching the children of our community since 1954.
Our Philosophy:
We seek to encourage each child:
A typical day includes:
A typical week includes:
A CHILD’S FIRST INTRODUCTION to school can be frightening. Care will be taken to provide an atmosphere of love and security in the classroom while still allowing freedom for the self-development of each child. This is a big step on the way to independence.
Parents will be notified if undue problems should arise in the classroom. Parent/Teacher Conferences are held inJanuary, February, and March.
BECAUSE EACH CHILD develops at his or her own rate, it is important not to compare your child’s work with that of others. We are more concerned with the process than the product.
OUR GOAL is to give the children the opportunity to grow and mature at their own level while working, playing, and sharing in group situations. WITH YOUR HELP, we can offer a program designed to meet the needs of each child that will promote growth: SOCIALLY, EMOTIONALLY, PHYSICALLY, and INTELLECTUALLY, in an atmosphere of love, acceptance, and support.
We strive to coordinate our efforts with ancillary professionals to meet the goals of children with special needs, as well as refer parents to outside services when necessary. We cooperate with parents to accomodate children with allergies and run a peanut-free program.
